Made to your specifications, for your TV, stereo, computer monitor, printer, laptop, gear, collectibles, and more. There are many possibilities. Get the perfect size and height, and a great looking stand!

Made of Northwest Alder hard wood, a feature found in higher quality furniture. Different wood colors are available. Unfinished is also possible.

Stands have a clean modern look. Joinery of the top and sides are concealed, no screw or nail holes. Cheaper stands use only glue, screws, nails, or fasteners to assemble joints that will break apart after a time. These stands use mortise and tenon style joinery to make strong permanent joints, a feature found in higher quality furniture. The result is furniture that lasts. Joinery is sturdy, no need for a back panel or similar reinforcement.

The finish is a multiple step process using high quality professional coatings. A range of finish options are offered to acccomodate budget, needs, and desires, from low-cost utilitarian to approaching the look of higher end furniture.

Stands are shipped completely assembled and ready to use, saving you substantial time and labor by eliminating the assembly hassle that cheaper stands require.

Stands can handle weight up to 40 - 280 lbs or more depending on the material thickness and stand size.

With custom made the cost of skill and labor is concentrated into a single item, instead of distributed among many items like in mass production. Ordering custom made is like commissioning an artisan or craftsman to create something for you. This is different than buying a mass produced product from a store. It can take several or more hours of skilled labor over several days to make a custom item to your specifications. Shipping carriers do not discount much for low volume shipping. Cost reflects the realities of the local economy, it is not compensated or subsidized by foreign governments or through market manipulation like is occurring with many imported products.

What makes custom made better? Price is not the only measure of value, otherwise everyone would buy the cheapest product available. With custom made you have the value of the custom size, custom features, quality workmanship, healthier materials, and more. The stand front, side, and height are outside dimensions. The front dimension is the side-to-side dimension (across the stand front). The side dimension is the front-to-back dimension (along the stand side). The middle shelf height is measured to the top of the shelf.

• Order dimensions are outside dimensions. Make sure that the stand dimensions can accommodate desired inside dimensions, the top and side material thickness, the thickness of ordered panels, and the up to 1/8 inch dimension tolerance.
• Provide at least 1/4 or 1/2 inch clearance around top and sides of objects placed under the stand. You may want to add more clearance depending on your needs and the look you are going for.
• If the stand is for a TV, make sure the stand top is at least 1 inch larger than the TV base.
• Make sure the proper material thickness has been selected for your weight handling needs.
• If the objects to be placed on the stand top are approaching the recommended weight limit for a particular material thickness, consider upgrading to the next thickness for solid performance, particularly if the stand is large.
• It is possible to increase the weight handling of the stand without thicker material by ordering a back or front panel, and/or a divider.
• If one desires more than a utilitarian look, consider upgrading the finish quality to enhanced or better.
• To help with the design process, you can make cardboard cutout of the stand to get a visual idea of how things will look.

The front, side, and height are outside dimensions. To determine the inside dimensions, subtract the material thickness as appropriate. The front dimension is the side-to-side dimension (across the stand front). The side dimension is the front-to-back dimension (along the stand side).

Dimension tolerance is up to1/8 inch.

1/2 inch thick material can provide a sleek look to smaller stands. 1/2 inch thick material can be used for stands up to 26 Front x 24 Side x 8 Height inches.

1/2 in Thick Top and Sides

The recommended weight limit for each material thickness is described below. Each material thickness can handle up to the recommended weight limit or more depending on the stand size.

It is possible to match different top and side thicknesses. For example, one can order a stand with a 1 inch thick top and 3/4 inch thick sides. The recommended weight limit will be for the thinnest material thickness ordered.

Example pricing, if the stand size is 24 front x 12 side x 6 height inches, then the 1 inch top thickness price will be $8 plus 30% of the "Up to 24 inches" front and "Up to 12 inches" side price. The shipping is calculated similarly.

The following side thicknesses can be custom ordered. Pricing is provided for estimating cost.

Example pricing, if the stand size is 24 front x 12 side x 6 height inches, then the 1 inch side thickness price will be $8 plus 30% of the "Up to 12 inches" side and "Up to 6 inches" height price. The shipping is calculated similarly.

When the stand height is 3 inches or less, one can order the side thickness to be the same as the top thickness at no extra cost.

The following corner types can be custom ordered.

Below are examples of corner types, for 1/2, 3/4, and 1 inch thick material. Corner size is dependant on the top thickness.

The rounded corner type is available up to 1 inch thick material. A rounded corner for thicker material may be possible at an additional cost.

Rounded corners will create less useable space on the stand top, please take this into consideration when determining the stand top size.

The following edge treatments can be custom ordered.

Below are examples of edge treatments.

Standard	Refined

The standard edge treatment lightly rounds edges to remove edge sharpeness providing a hard edge look.

The refined edge treatment substantially rounds edges to provide a more refined look and feel.

A middle shelf can be custom ordered to make a multiple tier stand. Multiple shelves are possible. Shelf is removeable. Shelf height can be specified. Price is $12 plus any selected top size customizations. For example, if the middle shelf size is 24 front x 14 side inches, the middle shelf price will be $12 plus the "Up to 24 inches" front and "Up to 14 inches" side price.

Default shelf thickness is 3/4 inch. Thinner or thicker material can be special ordered. By default the middle shelf is slightly inset from the stand front and back. The middle shelf height is measured to the top of the shelf.

Middle Shelf

A top overhang can be custom ordered. Price is $28. The overhang amount is around 1/8 inch at each stand side, and around 1/8 inch at the stand front and stand back by default. One can specify different overhang amounts if desired. For larger stands and thicker material one may want to consider increasing the overhang amount.

Top Overhang

A corner shape can be custom ordered to accommodate corner spaces. Price is $30. The corner shape is a stand with the back corners cut at 90 degrees. A back side is added to support the back of the stand.

Corner stands are limited to symmetrical shapes. Please inquire about how to order and sizing instructions.

Corner Shape

A rounded top can be custom ordered. Price is $20. A rounded top stand is often used on a table to hold condiments, or to display collectibles.

Stand is supported by legs that are positioned offset from the stand edge. Legs can be ordered square or round. Number of legs and leg width varies depending on the top size. Square legs are made of Alder. Round legs may be made of birch, oak, or other hard wood.

Rounded Top

The following panels can be custom ordered.

Panel thickness varies depending on stand size, material thickness, and finish quality, ranging from around 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch. Thicker panels are available by special order.

The front and back panels are made part of the stand with strong joinery techniques for maximum strength and good looks. The bottom panel is detachable. For the wood grain finishes, panel grain direction is the same as the stand top.

The cable management cutout size is around 3-1/4 x 2 inches by default. The cable management cutout is located at the bottom center of the back panel by default.

It is possible to order a back panel with shortened height to create a gap at the bottom, as an alternative to the cable management cutout, or to make a reinforcement piece for the stand top.

A cable notch can be custom ordered for cable management. Price is $12. Multiple notches are possible. Cable notch opening size is 1 inch by default. The notch location can be specified. It is possible to order a rectangle shaped notch at an additional cost.

A divider can be custom ordered, to make multiple compartments under a stand. Multiple dividers are possible. Price is $15 plus 40% of any selected side size customizations. For example, if the stand side is 12 side x 6 height inches, then the divider price will be $15 plus 40% of the "Up to 12 inches" side and the "Up to 6 inches" height price.

Divider is made part of the stand like the stand sides. By default the divider is the same size and thickness as the stand sides, and is made flush with the stand front and stand back. Location of the divider can be specified. The divider material thickness and whether the divider is made flush or inset, can also be specified.

Divider

A moveable support can be custom ordered, to provide extra support for heavy loads. Price is $10. A moveable support is recommended for stands 34 front inches or larger. By default the moveable support is the same material thickness as the stand sides, and has a side dimension around 1/3 the stand side dimension The moveable support is made detachable and can be placed anywhere under the stand such as behind equipment.

Alder is the default wood used. Alder provides a modern clean look. Oak and maple can be special ordered at an additional cost. Oak provides a vintage classic look. Maple provides a white wood look.

The following sheens can be special ordered. Pricing is provided for estimating cost.

Medium sheen is similar to a satin sheen.

Unfinished is bare wood that has been prepared for finishing. If the unfinished sheen option is selected, Natural Alder will be the only color option available. For the finish quality, you will get all the features of the finish quality that are applicable to an unfinished stand.

Natural Alder color is the natural color of Alder wood.

This is a natural wood product. Wood grain and color can vary with each piece of wood. Color choices are approximate. Color can differ due to variation in light conditions, supplier product, wood used, finishing process, and other.

Color matching is not available. It is possible to order a stand unfinished so one can custom color and finish. See the Sheen section for more information.

For black or white color see the model RS-A Modern listing. It is similar to this model but offers black and white colors.

A combination color can be custom ordered. For example, you can make the top color different than the side color. To order a combination color, the top overhang customization must also be ordered.

The Combination color price is the total selected colors. Black color is available as a combination color choice. Black color has discounted price of $10. Example pricing, if the stand top will be Mahogany A color, and the sides will be Black color, the combination color price will be the Mahogany A color price plus the Black color price.

If you do not want untreated knots and crevices, do not order the rustic finish. If you want a refined look, order the refined, refined plus, smooth, or smooth composite finish quality.

Availability of the refined plus finish can vary. A limited quantity of premium grade wood is reserved for this finish and can be exhausted quickly depending on the demand. When the refined plus finish is not available, the refined finish is recommended.

The enhanced finish is considered the best value, it gets into the ballpark of nice without the cost of higher grade wood, extra attention to detail, and other premium features.

Example pricing, the refined finish will be $25 plus 20% of the total stand price, including all ordered stand customizations such as stand size, material thickness, middle shelf, and other.

This is a custom made, made to order item, and created upon demand. There can be up to a 30 day delay before item is shipped. Orders are done in batches, not individually. Current turnaround time is 20-30 days.

Shipping price includes transport costs, shipping box, packing materials, packing labor, and drop off with carrier. Because this is a custom made item with many possible configurations, often custom packing has to be done and custom shipping boxes made. This additional service is included in the shipping price.

In the listing, some of the item price is included in the shipping price so that prices can be simple and easy to calculate. Shipping costs are not hidden in the item price. For small volume shipping, transport costs are typically 2-5 times more than what large corporations such as Amazon and Walmart pay. Because this is a custom made item with many possible configurations, to keep things simple, the estimated shipping price is an average flatrate based upon previous shipping costs.

When shipping locations are long distance or remote, an additional shipping charge may be added to help cover transport costs.

Shipping to international destinations is not available at this time. International buyers typically have item shipped to an international carrier service operating in the USA, such as an ocean freight service, who transports the item to the international destination.
